The members of St. John's enjoy a large variety of fellowship opportunities each year. We enjoy the time we get to spend together with our brothers and sisters in the faith. Here are some of the activities we have hosted.
Church Campout: Each August, members of our church family have the opportunity to escape to the great outdoors in rural Lewiston. Campgrounds are set up and an outdoor worship service and potluck are held.
Camp Whitewater: This camp is held for two weeks in July. Area WELS children grades 3-7 can attend and participate in singing, hiking, Bibly Study, crafts, fishing, swimming, sports, and more!
Softball: We participate in a men's softball league that holds games in Winona. We have a lot of fun playing and socializing.
Dartball League: This is a men's league that plays during the winter months. The competition is between other area WELS churches. It's a lot of fun!
Golf Tournament: During the summer we have times when we meet at the Lewiston Country Club and play nine holes.
Church Picnic: This annual picnic is enjoyed by many! We meet at Farmer's Park down by the Arches. We enjoy a potluck meal followed by games for the children and softball or conversation for the adults.
Lenten Suppers: Before our six midweek Lenten services, the members of St. John's have an opportunity to gather together for an evening meal at 6 PM.
Gym Use: God has blessed St. John's with a wonderful facility for athletics. This gym is also available to our members if you wish to come and get some exercise.
Auction: Our congregation has enjoyed holding occasional auctions. These are wonderful days full of fun, fellowship, and entertainment.
Harvest Moon: This is a fun activity held every October in the Activity Center. The children (and some adults!) dress up in costumes and enjoy plenty of games and food.
Ice Cream Social: This event is put together by the Dorcas Society and is held annually during the summer months. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy supper with ice cream and pie for dessert.
