The PTL is comprised of all parents that have children attending St. John's Lutheran School. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the months of October, February and May. We enjoy discussions, Bible Study, and presentations throughout the year with lots of time for fellowship.
St. John's is blessed with many people who have given generously of their time to support us with our school. The work has varied from helping individual students to helping the teachers with copying, making projects, and more. The Dorcas group at St. John's is a very active women's organiztion. Meetings are held once per month. This group is responsible for many of the social activities of St. John's, such as the Easter breakfast, Ice Cream Social, Advent Reflections, and more. This group meets regularly to design and assemble banners to be displayed in church. A no-sew technique is used. You are always invited to join in and put your skills to work!
Wondering who those friendly people are who smile and say good morning when you come into church? They are our greeters who provide a valuable service to our church. In addition to saying hello, they are there to help visitors find their way. Anyone can be a greeter - it is a great way to serve!
The ushers offer a bulletin to those entering church, light the candles for worship, collect the offerings, and direct the people. Ushers provide a valuable service to the congregation. It is a great way to serve!
